Binding is secure, all pages are intact, and corners are sharp. Author's signature appears on first title page. Book contains section of black and white photos and a folded map. Outside top bound pages reveal some mild age spotting, but text is not affected. No marked, creased, or torn pages. Enclosed with this book on page 518 is a typed March 24, 1905 note on National Oil and Pipe Line Company stationery regarding a debt of $322,500.00 and the low price of oil at that time. This company was involved with the 1901 oil boom in Beaumont, Texas, and was associated with the Hogg-Swayne Syndicate, a predecessor to Texaco and Gulf Oil. An excellent copy.
