Cover darkened/lightly soiled, with light wear at spine-ends and corners; front inner hinge split but fairly secure, with previous owner name to fly-leaf; a couple of leaves detached; 2 of the 8 colour plates called for are missing (the frontispiece, and the one at p.138); tape has been used to repair a couple of plates, but text pages are very largely clean and bright.
