Washington, Lansing, MI.Robert A. Thom (1915-1979) was an American illustrator from Birmingham, Michigan, known for his popular and widely exhibited painting series that focused on topics like the history of Michigan, medicine, and pharmacy. Consists of photos of Thom and George Bender looking at a canvas from a series entitled, "A Pictorial History of Pharmacy." Also includes photos of Thom with F. Clever Bald.Provenance: From the collection of Frederic Gale Ruffner, Jr., the founder of Gale Research, Detroit.
