In den WarenkorbLarge color lithograph map approx. 32" x 22" (78 x 56 cm) showing the state of Minnesota within a color art nouveau border, with a large farming and manufacturiung motif at the top, and showing trade routes, cities, rivers, buildings, crops, Indian reservations, historical events and various steamers, and historical illustration…s of development and industry, a large decorative cartouche, compass rose, and vignettes depicting transportation, industry, and notable Minnesota historical figures; also with inset maps of Duluth and Minneapolis-St. Paul and a 10-paragraph geological and exploratory text on the left edge; some light spotting, primarily on the verso, but generally a very good and attractive example. Signed in ink by Barbara Bell and Clara Searle Painter in the bottom margin, and uncommon thus. We've been unable to find other signed copies.
