Nel settore informatico i programmatori sono abituati da tempo ad adottare, il più possibile, i 'Design Patterns', soluzioni efficienti e ultra-collaudate per problematiche di sviluppo ricorrenti. L'utilizzo di tali pratiche, che a tutti gli effetti possono essere considerate delle 'best-practice' permette di ridurre di molto sia i tempi di sviluppo che quelli di test. In questo contesto, per una più agevole comprensione da parte del lettore italiano, si è preferito sostituire il termine 'design pattern' con l'espressione 'ricetta di automazione', pur rimanendo identiche le finalità di fondo: correttezza, efficienza e funzionalità.Nel primo quaderno è stata trattata la automazione dei motori elettrici, nel secondo quella dei sensori 4-20 mA, nel terzo quaderno quella dei sequenziatori gemellare e parallelo e nel quarto quaderno le strategie di gestione basate sull'orologio datario interno del PLC. Questo quinto quaderno affronta la tematica dell'autenticazione e autorizzazione dell'utente; tematica ineludibile in ogni progetto informatico ma molto trascurata nei progetti di automazione con PLC. Da questo punto di vista il volume si caratterizza per il carattere innovativo dei contenuti e l'unicità della trattazione nel panorama dell'editoria specializzata sui PLC.In dettaglio il primo capitolo di questo quaderno, dedicato al dominio applicativo, illustra il doppio aspetto dell'autenticazione dell'utente per mezzo di un opportuno campo password nella schermata iniziale e della sua autorizzazione a navigare nelle varie pagine HMI in base al ruolo di accesso autorizzato. Viene mostrato in dettaglio come i pulsanti della schermata del menu iniziale di navigazione possano essere resi più o meno visibili in base al ruolo autorizzato, limitando così la navigazione delle singole pagine HMI esclusivamente a quelle autorizzate dal ruolo associato.In base alla nostra esperienza pluridecennale di progettisti e sviluppatori di tali impianti i ruoli che suggeriamo per l'accesso alle funzioni combinate del sistema PLC + HMI sono quattro:1) Viewer. E' il ruolo assegnato all'utente generico abilitato allo accesso a schermate in sola lettura;2) Operator. Questo è il ruolo assegnato al personale di conduzione e manutenzione dell'impianto. 3) Service. Questo ruolo è riservato al personale tecnico del cliente finale.4) Vendor. Questo ruolo è riservato al personale tecnico del fornitore del sistema.Il secondo capitolo tratta lo sviluppo del software combinato sia per il PLC che per l'HMI. Vengono illustrate le logiche della subroutine Login e le relative schermate di accesso tramite password e navigazione in base al ruolo autorizzato.Il terzo capitolo mostra, infine, l'applicazione dei concetti sviluppati in un caso concreto di centrale di pompaggio acque reflue.Il quarto capitolo conclude il tutto con una breve presentazione degli altri cinque quaderni che compongono la collana.Tutte le logiche pubblicate nel quaderno sono state sviluppate usando il linguaggio standard IEC61131-3 Ladder per facilitarne l'utilizzo, pur con qualche piccola modifica di terminologia, su tutti i moderni PLC.
