A lush production, directed in a neoclassical style by David Lynch, based on two non-fiction accounts by Sir Frederick Treves ("The Elephant Man and Other Reminiscences") and Ashley Montagu ("The Elephant Man: A Study in Human Dignity"), about Joseph Merrick, a man with severe deformities living in Victorian-era London. Nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. Set and shot on location in London. 8 x 10 inches. Nine Near Fine, some with light edgewear, and one Very Good plus, slightly wavy, with a few scuffs and light creasing to the bottom edge.

Arnold's novel detailed physical and sexual abuse and a forced lobotomy during the period Farmer spent in an institution, although his claims have since been debunked. Widely considered among actress Jessica Lange's best performances. Blue titled leatherette wrappers.
