This charmingly illustrated set of comprises a second edition 'Oxford' and first edition 'Exeter'. Both feature coloured and monochrome plates from old prints, engravings and photographs of these two historical towns. 'Oxford' also features an illustrated map of the university buildings. Both volumes are complete with original dustwrappers illustrated by British painter Brian Cook. In cloth bindings with original dustwrappers. Externally, smart. Some light bumping to head and tail of spine. Dampstaining to boards of 'Exeter'. Front hinge of 'Oxford' tender. Dustwrappers generally sound with sunning to spines and chipping. 'Exeter' clipped with loss to tail of spine and top rear. Creasing at edges. 'Oxford' in Brodart wraps with light foxing and heavier sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and generally clean, with some light foxing, heavier in 'Oxford'. Very Good. book.
