Hard pictorial boards with a little rubbing/chipping to edges/spine, some soiling/scuffing. Contents fair with some soiling/creasing. Charming colour and B&W illustrations throughout. Cover design by Harold Ernshaw shows a boy riding a motorcycle with a girl in the sidecar. A collection of stories and poems for children by the likes of Harold Avery, S B Owsley, Hawley Morgan, Ethel Talbot, J B Selkirk, M Wynne, Alice Sophia Jackson and Christine Chaundler. Illustrators include George E Studdy, Hawley Morgan, Lawson Wood, Arch Webb, Harold C Earnshaw and Peter Fraser. One of the illustrations by Studdy looks very much like his most famous creation, Bonzo. Scarce.

In overall poor used condition with some signs of age, handling and storage - boards generally rubbed with wear to corners and split to cloth at spine head. Binding complete but shaken, with crack to gutter at title page; gift inscription to front endpaper dated 1936, along with a handwritten copy of the two-times-table in pencil, some pages scribbled on and most of the black and while illustrations have been hand-coloured; text and illustrations remain bright and clear throughout.
