8vo. 1 page on bifolium. With autograph address verso. To the account administrator of the Paris Conservatory, baron Jean Fauchon d'Henneville (1780-1856), requesting two tickets for Rossini's opera "La Gazza ladra" for the same day. The Italian composer Ferdinando Paër was unable to keep his promise to reserve a box for Cherubini, and to attend on another day would not be possible because the Cherubinis are leaving for a month-long holiday in the country: "Pourriez vous sans indiscrétion, Monsieur et cher Voisin, me procurer deux billets d'orchestre pour la Gazza ladra que l'on donne ce soir [.] Et, comme nous allons partir pour un mois à la campagne, et que dieu sait si nous pourrons voir cette pièce à notre retour nous tenons beaucoup à y aller aujourd'hui [.]". - Somewhat waterstained; reinforced on verso; slight brownstaining. With clipping to the second leaf and traces of a seal.
