In den WarenkorbCouverture rigide. Zustand: Bon. [Philhellénisme, Grèce] Charles Chabrillac (1804-1879), peintre. Dessin original, aquarelle, non signée, ca.1828, 151*164mm. Magnifique drapeau fantasmé de la Grèce avant son indépendance. On y retrouve une croix couronnée, un phoenix et le triangle franc-maçon (beaucoup de Philhellènes furent fr…anc-maçons, cela étant même vu comme une nécessité par certains). En tête : « drapeau des Grecs » ; près de la croix : « Ελευθερία ή θάνατος » ; sous le drapeau : « triompher ou mourir » (la devise grec signifie « La Liberté ou la Mort ». On remarquera que le phoenix fut utilisé sur le drapeau du président pendant la dictature des colonels en 1973-1974. Les révolutionnaires des années 1820 utilisaient le phoenix et la croix. Mouillure sur le haut. Très beau souvenir. [157].

Dessin original, aquarelle, signé et daté 1826 en bas à droite, 168*170mm, collé sur une feuille un peu plus grande. Portrait de Alexandre Ypsilántis - Αλέξανδρος Υψηλάντης (1792-1828), l'un des héros nationaux grecs, alors en priso…n à Vienne depuis 1821. Il ne sera libéré que fin 1827 et mourra peut de temps après, le 31 janvier 1828, ayant été très affaibli par son long séjour en prison. On notera une erreur sous le dessin : « Ypsilanty mort à Vienne le 29 janvier 1828 ». En dessous, une longue note, toujours de la main de Chabrillac, sur son frère Dimitrios (1793-1832) mais dans laquelle Chabrillac semble mélanger la vie des deux frères puisqu'il dit qu'Ypsilantis fut mis en prison en Autriche et il s'agit bien d'Alexandre. Très beau dessin montrant l'intérêt des républicains français pour l'indépendance grecque. [157].
