In the publisher's original cloth. Externally, smart, with minor fading and the odd faint mark to boards, a little heavier to Hudson. Slight bumping to the heads and tails of the spines, and to the extremities, a little heavier to Collett and Hudson. Rubbing to joints and edges, a little heavier to Hudson, lighter to Pike and Dixon. Slight fading to spine of Pike. End papers of Hudson and Coward are clean, with previous owner's ink inscription to front free end paper of Coward, and bookplates to pastedowns and front free end paper of Hudson. The odd small spot to front end papers of Pike, and slight wear to hinge of rear end papers. Offsetting and the odd spot to end papers of Collett and heavier to Dixon. Internally, firmly bound, with slight wear to hinge between leaves pp. 144-145 and 224-225 of Pike and to hinge between plate and p.177 of Dixon. Pages are generally bright and clean, with offsetting to half-title and last leaf of Coward, the odd spot to the extremities of Hudson and Dixon, heavier to Dixon, most to p.177, and age toning with signs of browning to Pike.
