The Perrault version of the tale, i.e., the one without a happy ending, is illustrated with a full page black and white frontispiece, a title-page vignette, six black and white drawings within text, and best of all, a total of three double-page drawings with pop-up elements that are activated by opening the pages; all pop-ups are complete and all function as designed.
