There is a sheet of plastic taped over the covers to protect any further damage to the covers. Previous owner's name written inside front cover in blue pen. Title page dated 1884. This is a true first of this edition: the frontispiece has "p. 39" printed at the bottom, and the final word on page 27 is "Egad". 47 pages. Illustrations by Randolph Caldecott throughout. Binding is strong but appears a little loose between signatures. Pages are clean and unmarked. Overall, a good copy.
