The first edition of this work, comprising John Byron's journals as edited by Robert E. Gallagher, published for the Hakluyt Society, second series volume CXXII as indicated tot he spine of the dust wrapper. John Byron's own account of his circumnavigation of the globe aboard the HMS Dolphin between 1764 and 1766, the first such circumnavigation accomplished in less than two years.
