1 S. 4to. Faltspuren. An den Musikdirektor Ernst Schmitt: [ ] It was a matter of great interest and pleasure to me to receive your greetings from Magdeburg. I have very happy recollections of coming to see the production in Magdeburg Opera House of my opera WAT TYLER, together with my wife, Nancy, who wrote the libretto, as indeed she did of two other of my operas. I enclose the first three bars of the middle section of my most recent composition but one; I completed it, a quite substantial piano piece called "SCOTS JIGGANSPIEL", which is the correct Scottish expression for what in correct English would be "Scottish Dances", somewhere about Decembre 22nd, 1981, which was in fact my eighty-first birthday [ ]". Bushs Oper "Wat Tyler" erschien 1950 und wurde in der Conway-Hall in London uraufgeführt.
