The spine strip's ends, the top ends of the joints, and 1 1/4 in. of a board edge are frayed; the boards' front corners are less so. The last page(s) is missing, which was either blank or an ad. 7 pages have large stains, mostly on the margins; several other pages have a small stain, and several have a crease line on the top corner. The front endpaper has two 1/2 in. water stains. The text block ends have darkened. Scans e-mailed upon request.

Shortly thereafter, Burrough's warehouse burned down and he gave up publishing. This explains why the Tarzana books are rare. Small 38 in tear of jacket, otherwise; fine DJ. Size: 5 1/4 x 7 3/4 Tall.

Square, tight and clean throughout with a hint of bumping to crown but quite minor. Clean, white pages. Very attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket has some tiny nicks and a closed tear. Small tape reinforcement on the verso of the spine. Still fresh and bright. A very handsome collectable copy at a great price.

Binding tight and solid. Evil men had come to the land that belonged to Tarzan of the Apes, looting and killing as they moved. Patiently, the ape-man pursued them. But there was other evil. In a small valley of the Ghenzi Mountains, the last remnants of an ugly, perverted people dwelled in what they called their faith. It was an ancient belief - one that had come with their ancestors from Rome nearly 2000 years before. Now they were wicked and many of them were insane. Rubbing to the edges of the book with light fading to the spine. FFEP is missing. Light edge wear to the book with some fading to the spine. Overall a very good copy of an early 1930s ERB, Inc 1st.
