Modest wear at the corners and spine ends, preliminary and terminal leaves lightly foxed, very good or better. Poet Samuel French Morse's copy with his bookplate on the front fly.

Endpapers with slight offsetting, a few early and late pages with tidelines, covers rubbed with moderate chipping mostly at crowns, spine labels tanned, corners bumped and rubbed; volume two with a bit of paper affixed to front board; volume three with a couple nicks on the spine; still good or better overall. Limited to 80 numbered copies printed on laid paper; these volumes are each numbered 35.

Attached brown silk bookmark. Overall book condition is VG+.

First Edition of this selection. One of 155 copies Small 4to Half-title dust-soiled, otherwise a very nice copy. Dedication Copy, signed by the editor at the foot of the verse dedication "To Dorothea" and with one correction and with one of the printed notes at the end crossed through by him Bullen published and in many cases discovered in manuscript numerous early plays and lyrics and was an important contributor to DNB. Modern green buckram, spine with morocco label.

Decorative Leather Binding. Zustand: Near Fine. xxxiii, [2], 235 pp. Fine decorative brown morocco with exta gilt to the spine and corners; bound by Morrell, also with a Bickers & Son stamp. All edges gilt. Binding firm, very minor signs of wear. Some markings to prelims but otherwise clean internally. In lovely condition. Small 8vo.
