In den WarenkorbHardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. Illustrated Edition. The sole UK printing of this illustrated edition published by Golden Cockerel Press, London in 1947. Number '383' of 500 copies issued on Arnold's hand-made paper with the Golden Cockerel Press watermark, of which one hundred copies were specially bound in vellum at Sangorski and Sutcliffe. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. The vellum spine with gilt titling has a few lights spots. The cloth boards with gilt decoration are clean. The binding is tight. Top edge gilt. Free from inscriptions. Some light sporadic toning to the page edges in places, more so to pages 12-15, 90-91 and 132-133, and the rest mild - all copies appear to have been affected with this to some degree, and it does not particularly detract. Profusely illustrated throughout with engravings by John Buckland-Wright. The book is protected in a removable Mylar archival cover. One of the highlight productions from the Golden Cockerel Press. Increasingly scarce. More images available on request. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
