Moderate wear to jacket extremities including a few small chips and closed tears touching text without loss of meaning, spine panel rather toned, corners tapped and boards a bit bowed, textblock heavily foxed in places; a Good to Very Good copy in the scarce dust jacket. Published contemporaneously with "The Red Pony," this tale of a boy and his pony, brought back from Darjeeling for him by his father, has not held quite as much consequence in the world of children's literature. In any case, rare in jacket.
