A stirring read as our hero escapes by flying boat from Vikings encountered in the Sargasso Sea. An easy read in modern standard Dutch with no case endings and more or less current spelling. This edition has a very nice pictorial cover by Jan Rinke showing scouts which has little to do with the adventure story within, and gives the author as "F.C. Bridges". Martin Crusoe was also translated into French in the interwar years as Le raid mysterieux de Martin Crusoe: au coeur des Sargasses (Martin Crusoe's Mysterious Cruise: At the Heart of the Sargasso Sea). .
