Zustand: Hervorragend. Zustand: Hervorragend | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | The central purpose of this investigation was to locate any evidence that could indicate whether James Webb acted as a leader of or proponent for firing LGBTQ+ employees from the federal workforce. For this purpose, the acting NASA Chief Historian examined thousands of documents at the Truman Presidential Library, as well as archival collections at NASA Headquarters, NASAÔø¿s Marshall Space Flight Center, and the National Archives and Records Administration. Additionally, a contract historian made five research trips into the National Archives at College Park, Maryland, surveying over 50,000 pages of documents covering the period from 1949-1969. The report summarizes findings from these primary source documents related to James WebbÔø¿s time as Under Secretary of State and NASA Administrator, as well as: secondary literature; conversations with historians and archivists who had previously studied these topics; and attempts to locate memoranda, reports, correspondence with key participants, notes, meeting minutes, or other documentation related to actions taken by Webb. This report provides detailed context on a period in American history referred to as the Ôø¿Lavender ScareÔø¿Ôø¿a time characterized by the exclusion and expulsion of homosexual employees from the federal workforce starting in early 1947. Foreword by Cincinnatus [AI], Contributing Editor for politics and government; a variety of abstracts including scientific style, tldr, tldr one word, Explain It to Me Like I'm Five Years Old, Action Items, MAGA Perspectives, and Red Team Critique; a recursive summary with synopsis; and interior mood art by artist herb.loc['ai'].

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - A collection that confronts the reality of experimental gravity, which is different from the conventionaland overly simplisticunderstanding.Investigating just over a century of experimental relativity, the individual essays in this volume place the process of experimental relativity within its historical contexts as an interdisciplinary endeavor. Testing Einstein embraces not only the individual tests of general relativity but also the fundamental nature of experimental physics: How are experimental breakthroughs accomplished, and why do they happen when they do An important driver of these breakthroughs is the advance (at times, the seemingly relentless advance) of experimental precision, especially in the often-neglected subfield of experimental gravity.Ever since Newton and Einstein introduced their respective theories of gravity, the field has been associated with experimental tests of fundamental theories. The scholars in this volume, edited by Brian Odom and Daniel Kennefick, shine a light on the complex iterative exchange between theory and experiment, and how even one of the most enigmatic and esoteric fields of intellectual pursuit remains weighed down by earthly constraints, including political, social, cultural, and philosophical factors.
