"London and Middlesex; or, an Historical, Commercial and Descriptive Survey of the Metropolis of Great Britain including Sketches of its Environs, and a Topographical Account of the most Remarkable Places in the above County. Illustrated with engravings [31 in Vol. III Part 1, 41 in Vol. III Part 2 and 52 in Vol. IV]. Engravings have moderate-heavy foxing and a blind stamp to top border. All books include indexes; last two volumes include various additions and bibliographies. Books are large brown cloth hardbacks (rebinds) with gilt titles and shelfmarks to spines, and marbled edges. Overall very good - ex-library with bookplates and stamps to PFEPs, stamps to fore-edges and title pages and gilt shelfmarks to spines; rebound with new endpapers. Occasional slight foxing to pages, edges a little browned, light wear to corners. PLEASE NOTE: this is a heavy set and is likely to require extra postage.

Spines are a little faded. Crack to the tail of the front joint of Volume IV. Hinges of all four volumes are starting. Front endpaper of Volume II is detaching. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the occasional scattered spot, spotting a little heavier to the plates. Small tide mark to the tail of the first few pages of Volume IV. Chip to the margin of page 643 Volume IV, no loss of text. Good. book.
