Kaufmann was a pioneering scholar in the field of Jewish art, arguing that ancient Judaism was not strictly opposed to images. Among the authors are Samuel Poznanski, Leopold Löwenstein and Hermann Cohen. Includes a biography of Kaufmann as well as articles about R. David Oppenheimer, Judah ibn Tibbon and Jewish settlement in Eastern Europe. Text in German and Hebrew. Binding is starting, but still intact. Overall in good- condition.
