Leben Nach einer Ausbildung zur Buch- und Kunsthändlerin nahm sie Schauspielunterricht bei Tilla Durieux. Seit 1920 trat sie als Diseuse und Kabarettistin an verschiedenen Berliner Kabaretten auf, zum Beispiel 1928 an Rosa Valettis Larifari" und 1931 an der Katakombe". In Toller/Hasenclevers Revue Bourgeois bleibt Bourgeois wirkte sie am 12. Februar 1929 bei der Premiere im Lessing-Theater mit. Zudem übernahm sie Filmrollen. 1932 eröffnete sie ihr eigenes Kabarett Casanova", 1935 übernahm sie das vom emigrierten Friedrich Hollaender neu gegründete Tingel-Tangel-Theater", das jedoch bereits am 10. Mai 1935 aus politischen Gründen geschlossen werden musste. Noch im selben Jahr emigrierte Kolman nach Wien. Hier gründete sie eigene Kabarette, unter anderem Der sechste Himmel". Nach dem Anschluss Österreichs 1938 emigrierte sie nach Prag und hielt sich in London und Zürich auf. 1939 ließ sie sich in Großbritannien nieder, wo sie bis 1949 in Loxwood eine Pension leitete. 1950 kehrte sie nach Deutschland zurück. Am 25. Januar 1951 eröffnete sie das Kabarett Die Kleine Freiheit" in München. Wichtigster Autor des Kabaretts war Erich Kästner, Kolman wirkte als Regisseurin und Schauspielerin und trug maßgeblich zur Entwicklung des Münchner Nachkriegskabaretts bei. George Provis was a British Art Director and Production Designer who began his career working on quota quickies (low budget features made to comply with Britain's Cinematograph Films Act of 1927) in the 1930s. After the Second World War, Provis was appointed by British film producer Sydney Box to head the art department at Gainsborough Pictures, and is credited on over 120 films. Based on the 1950 play "To Dorothy, a Son," by Roger MacDougall. Shelley Winters stars as Myrtle, an American woman who stands to inherit $2 million dollars from her uncle as long as she doesn't have any male heirs. The only thing standing in her way is John Gregson as her ex-husband, and his very pregnant new wife, played by Peggy Cummins. Tall untitled green wrappers. Title page present, with an annotated date of "9/6/54," noted as Revised Screenplay, with credits for screenwriter Peter Rogers and playwright Roger MacDougall. 114 leaves, with last page of text numbered 106. Third Draft script for the 1957 British film, copy belonging to Art Director George Provis, with his name written on the titled label on the front wrapper, with manuscript pencil and ink annotations throughout, including rough pencil prop and set sketches on the versos of eight pages. Here under the working title "A Novel Affair," which was used as the title for the US release of the film. Laid in are over 30 production documents including: 17 pages of handwritten Prop Lists, eleven dated from May to July 1956. Two pages of rough pencil sketches including several story boards, with two film clippings attached by paperclip, each containing 3 full frames. Three letters to Provis, two autograph letters signed, dating from May and June, 1956, and one typed letter signed from February 1956. As well as Shooting Schedules, Set Lists, Locations lists, and additional Prop Lists. George Provis was a British Art Director and Production Designer who began his career working on quota quickies (low budget features made to comply with Britain's Cinematograph Films Act of 1927) in the 1930s. After the Second World War, Provis was appointed by British film producer Sydney Box to head the art department at Gainsborough Pictures, and is credited on over 120 films. Novelist Judith Wynter (Margaret Leighton) gets inspiration for her new novel when her wheelchair-bound husband (Ralph Richardson) hires a new Italian chauffeur Carlo(Carlo Giustini). When Carlo reads her lurid tale of adultery and murder the husband mistakenly concludes that she is actually madly in love with Carlo. Green generic file wrappers with a title label, noted as 3rd Draft Screenplay on the title label, dated 23-4-1956.
