December's issues include: "French Revolutionary History by Americus Featherman, Esq. of Louisiana; "The Domain of Fashion" by George Fitzhugh of Virginia; "Dr. Cartwright on the Negro Race," "Home Education and Schools," and others. Many interesting ads in both issues with fine engravings for products made in the north as well as the south still: "The Grenoble Fire Hose;" "The Day Book for 1861" with engraving of publishing house in New York; "New York Lines" steamship schedule and prices, "J.T. Smith Saddlery," J.B. Lippincott in Philadelphia, Tiffany & Co. jewellers in New York, as well as usual proliferation of ads for land, tools, plantation machinery, guano, patent medicines, musical instruments, including the harp, clothing, dry goods, furniture, crystal, china, silverware, etc.December's articles include.…
