Además de los textos literarios, institucionales y de inscripciones conmemorativas que se conocían tradicionalmente, hoy tenemos testimonios de una gran variedad de formatos, géneros y usos de documentos escritos. Los autores del presente volumen analizan textos administrativos, libros, panfletos, graffitti y otros documentos y exploran la significativa relación que hubo entre estas diversas formas y soportes de la escritura entre los siglos VI a.
