Description of Hydropsyche cyrnotica nov. sp. belonging to the "pellucidula-group", and of the male of H. fumata Tobias (instabilis-group). Presumably these are the only representatives of the genus in Corsica; they behave ecologically rather different. New taxon: Hydropsyche cyrnotica n. sp., 7 pp., 8 figs, 4.

Six new caddis-fly species are described, either from springs and streams of two water-courses in Lebanon (Nahr ed Damour and Nahr el Awali) or from the river Litani. They belong to the genera Stactobia MacLachlan, Hydroptila Dalman, Polycentropus Curtis, Tinodes Leach, and Ceraclea Stephens. Three new species (Smicridea (S.) meridensis and Helicopsyche merida both from Venezuela and Helicopsyche cotopaxi from Ecuador), previously undescribed females of two species (Synoestropsis furcata Flint, 1974, and S. grisoli Navas, 1924), the immature stages of Smicridea meridensis nov. sp., Leptonema insulanum Banks, 1924, Nectopsyche gemmoides Flint, 1981, Triplectides species, Atanatolica spec., Phylloicus angustior Ulmer, 1905, and the cases of Phylloicus spec., Helicopsyche merida nov. spec, and H. cotopaxi nov. spec. are described. The cases of Ochrotrichia Mosely, 1934 (Metrichia Ross, 1938) are described, especially in relation to the development in certain species of a pair of dorsal "chimneys", and their relationship to the similar cases of Dicaminus Müller, 1879, is discussed. The three species of the difficult Hydropsyche instabilis-group described by F. Schmid (1952) from the Iberian peninsula are revised, based on the types. H. hibera proved to be a synonym of H. instabilis (Curtis); H. infernale (here emended to infernalis) and H. ambigua (originally described as dubia) are good species, the first apparently closely related to H. siltalai Döhler, the second extremely near to H. tenuis Navas. Notes on the known distribution in Spain of the three species are added (H. instabilis and H. ambigua are widely distributed; H. infernalis is known from the Sierra Nevada only). 7 pp., 16 figs, 4.
