kl8°(18x12cm), hs. Namenszug auf Vorsatz: Ebz, Clemens August (Adelsgeschlecht), 1 Titel, 1 Bl., 296 S., 384 S., Pappeinband - Einband berieben, bestoßen und leicht wasserfleckig, roter Rundumschnitt, Papier altersbedingt gebräunt und leicht braunfleckig.

Seltene zeitgenössische Darstellung der Hinrichtung des wegen seiner Beteiligung am Wiener Oktoberaufstand zum Tode verurteilten Abgeordneten der Paulskirche, Robert Blum (1807-1848). Ein Ereignis, das die Zeitgenossen wie kaum ein anderes erschüttert hat. Gleichzeitig galt es als Menetekel für den kommenden Sieg der Reaktion. Dargestellt ist ein martialisch blickender Robert Blum, der dem feuerbereiten Erschießungspeloton mannhaft seine Brust entgegenreckt. Unterschrieben ist das Blatt mit dem Zitat seiner angeblich letzten Worte "Aus jedem meiner Blutstropfen wird ein Freiheits-Märtyrer erstehen". Vermutlich stammt die Zeichnung, die im Stein lediglich mit "Decker" signiert ist, von Gabriel Decker (1821-1855), einem von drei Brüdern, die alle auf Porträtdarstellungen spezialisiert waren. - Blatt angestaubt und in den Rändern leicht geknittert, durchgängige Knickfalte in der Bildmitte, die am oberen und unteren Blattrand 2 bzw. 4 cm eingerissen ist (hinterlegt). Ein weiterer ca. 3 cm langer Einriss am linken Blattrand befindet sich ebenfalls außerhalb der Darstellung.
