Paperback. Zustand: Fair. Brooklyn, NY: The M. P. Publishing Co.; William G. Hewitt Press, 1915. Third edition, 1915, same year as the first and the same year as the film of the same name was released. Produced and directed by the author, the film called attention to what the author considered propaganda promoting pacifism and downplaying the German threat in the years leading up to World War I. It is a call to arms in the cause of peace, not war, urging a strong American defense. Illustrated in black and white with scenes that appear to be from the motion picture. Softcover, stapled binding, 73 pages plus three pages of endorsements, including one by Theodore Roosevelt. Fair to good condition with the covers separated from the text block, chips along the spine and a crease at the lower corner, binding sound, pages show some minor edgewear but are clean and unmarked. Scarce early edition. Soft Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
