Every page has red and black calligraphy by Bernard Way, the title-page almost wholly so with tipped-in colour plate opposite. Reproduced from manuscript by McLagan & Cumming, Chromo-lithographers & Printers, Edinburgh. The Rubáiyát over 52 unnumbered pages carrying the 75 quatrains of Edward Fitzgerald's version.
