From the Preface The purpose of this book is to provide those activities methods procedures which will aid prospective classroom teachers as well as those now in service to assume the responsibility for teaching physical education with a greater measure of success. The materials should also prove helpful to administrators and others who are responsible for administering or supervising the elementary school program. The emphasis is placed upon a way of teaching physical education rather than upon a fixed and rigid program set up for each day and week.
