In-8°, 16,5 x 10 cm, (6)nn pp including full-page engraved frontispiece + 223 pp +(2)nn pp + 22 folding engraved maps (9.5 x 12 cm) + 2 folding engraved plates, all with contemporary outline hand-colouring. Bound in contemporary leather, red title label, headcap expertly restored, binding with some wear, some maps with a few false creases (as usual), still a fine copy. Dutch (Flemish) translation of a French children's atlas, composed by J.H. Schneider in 1760. According to the NCC entries, this atlas is a translation of ; ''Nouvel atlas des enfans, ou principes clairs pour apprendre facilement et en fort peu de temps la geographie, suivi d'un Tracté méthodique de la sphère, qui explique le mouvement des astres, les divers systêmes du monde, & l'usage des globes''.
