The work was first issued as single volume in the Uniform Edition of 1852 [dated 1853]. This is the first appearance in the Cheap Edition, with missing points after 'Shirley' in the headlines of pp. 68; 202. Bound as often without advertisements. See Smith, pp. 117-120; Wise, p.26.

Small octavo (17.5cm); publisher's orange printed cloth; xix,[1],446,[2](ads)pp. Cloth rather splattered with partial effacement of printed text, spine cloth a bit sunned, bottom quarter of pp. 403/4 trimmed with loss of text, 20th century ownership rubberstamp on table of contents page, otherwise contents remain otherwise clean and sound. Good to Very Good. A New Edition of this cheap edition which first appeared in this format and binding in 1858. Contents also include Charlotte Bronte's memoirs of her sisters. "Wuthering Heights" has inspired myriad adaptations, most recently the 2026 film starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi directed by Emerald Fennell.
