This is the rare plate book to accompany the famous French treatise on organ construction (NOT present here). 43 engraved plates, measuring approx. 12" x 17". (972 detailed diagrams). This copy a green cloth hardcover library binding gilt-titled Chicago Public Library, and inside,book itself bears their stamps accession date on a front pastedown-mounted bookpate, and a deaccession stamp to title page. The Chicago Public Library acquired this copy on January 25, 1882, and deaccessioned it on April 1st, 1933. Paper was cheap variety and is age-tanned and prone to chipping. Edges are somewhat brittle.
