Further contains this volume: Lauenstein, C.: Ueber Macewen's Radicaloperation der Hernien (pp.639-652, 11 Fig). 1890 schilderte Lauenstein das in Deutschland damals noch wenig bekannte Verfahren von Macewen* das dieser schon in 98 Fällen und Lauenstein 14 mal mit vollem Erfolg angewandt hatte.
