Please find a book of gently tongue-in-cheek drawings of skiiers and their antics on the slopes; the book is titled: Schuss Cuties and Spill Billies by Max Barsis. This book is quite scarce and I was unable to find a copy available online (although there is a similar volume by this artist with a different title available). The book opens with a short Introduction by Otto Lang and then goes on to offer more than 35 sketches by the Artist each with a suitable funny title. This book is bound in decorative hard covers (11 ? x 8 ? inches unpaginated but as mentioned 2 pages of text and 35+ plates) all on heavy card stock that was published by the Stephen Daye Press of New York dated 1947 and the First Edition. It is signed by the Artist on the opening page although it may be a facsimile printed signature. Please be sure to see the photos. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some minor edge wear to the hard covers and some darkening to the wrapped cloth of the spine. There are some minor scratches to the finish of the boards but nothing very serious. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages are remarkably clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
