First Edition. elephant folio, - ca. 19" x 28" rebacked at some point with black cloth backstrip and original black cloth covered boards with heavy wear at corners and moderate wear elsewhere. X- Library copy with some ink stamp marks inside and note in ink stating this was a gift to the library from the U.S. Dept. of State boundary commission. Contents complete with all maps and drawings. There is a damp stain along the bottom - ca. 1 inch of all pages, fortunatelly, NOT infringing on map areas - except for general map at the rear which has map detail extending close to the edge of the book. Maps, etc. in good to very good condition with reasonable color expet the general map. Paper is age toned in general but not badly so- mainly closer to edges. Bookplate of library on front pastedown. The book was likely kept for reference in the library and not lent. The lower right corner of pages show more wear and some fingereprints from users. Due to the size and weight, overseas shipping will be much more expensive than an average book, as will priorty shipping within the USA.
