Crisply printed on one side of a 36 x 28 cm piece of vellum. In fair condition, aged and lightly worn. Endorsed: 'Adam Hudson | Mr. Kenyon Parker's Enfranchisement of Divers premises in Brightholmley | Dated 10 Janry 1785'. Laid out in the customary fashion, with embossed tax stamps. Signed at foot, with seals in red wax, by 'Vi…n: Eyre' and 'Surrey', and by 'Geo: Townsend' and 'John Barnard'. Parker is enfranchised of the copyhold of 'all those several Customary or Copyhold Fields Closes or Parcels of Land situate lying and being at or near Brightholmley in the Chapelry of Bradfield within the said Manor of Sheffield collector known by the Names of the Upper Star Field, the Nether Star Field, the Upper Field and the Dole Wood containing together by Estimation Seven Acres or thereabouts and now in the Tenure or Occupation of Ada Hudson his Assigns or Undertenants being the Estate and Inheritance of the said Adam Hudson but in Mortgage to the said Kenyon Parker'.
