Light rubbing to spine edges with cracking to top 4cm of the upper spine edge. Sporting Repository was originally published as a magazine in 1822 and quite rare and was important for its fine colour plates. By 1812 he had moved to Park Street, Camden Town, but from 1815 onwards he exhibited all his pictures from Mr. Tattersall's in Hyde Park Corner. One gathering with edges browned, some offsetting from plates to text, otherwise clean and crisp throughout. *Beautiful bright hand-coloured plates of hunting, shooting, tandem-driving, livestock etc. Very rare in original edition (Schwerdt II p.212 "the first and only edition of a rare and valuable magazine").
