Provenance stamp to the verso. Based on the 1961 novel "Nightmare" by Elizabeth Linington writing as Anne Blaisdell, about a woman who is stalked and terrorized by her deceased fiance's mother. Bankhead's final feature film before her death in 1968, produced hot on the heels of "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" (1962) and "Hush. Hush, Sweet Charlotte" (1964).
