Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex (1773 - 1843), was the sixth son of George III of the United Kingdom and his consort, Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. He was the only s…urviving son of George III who did not pursue an army or naval career. Previous owner's bookplates to front pastedown. Rebound in a quarter morocco binding with marbled paper covered boards with original paper wraps bound in. Externally, sound but with some wear to extremities, slight loss to tail of spine and odd slight rubbing and marks to boards. Previous owners bookplate to the front pastedown and remnants of a label to rear free endpaper. Front hinge strained. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and generally clean with only slight scattered foxing and handling marks. Good. None (illustrator). book.
