This book figures the almost completely endemic terebrid fauna of the Panamanian Province, running from a latitude of about 32° north to 5° south. Altogether 51 species are treated. Light is shaded on many different aspects concerning ecology and biology of the species, e.g. their larval ecology, their bathymetric range. The main part cites the original description of the species, mentions the locus typicus and the holotype and discusses the species. We collected the descriptions and reports of 554 fossil species of the Terebridae family, searching all available sources. Most of the descriptions are those of the original authors or authors who reported them in later publications. We preferred to present them in the language of the author.
