Zustand: Sehr gut. Zustand: Sehr gut | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Clinical informatics is poised for a period of rapid growth and expansion. A confluence of forces and trends, including pressure to contain healthcare costs and simultaneously expand access and coverage, a desire to reduce medical error and healthcare disparities, the need to better understand and optimize our clinical interventions and delivery systems, the need to translate new knowledge into practice quickly and effectively, and the need to demonstrate the value of our services, all call for the application of the methods and techniques of our field.Transforming Health Care Through Information contains the collected practical experience of the highly respected authorship and contributes to the evolving framework of understanding in this discipline. The Editors are all leaders in their field and have assembled a team of authors with an intimate understanding of the subject to create this rich collection. The book is organized around four major areas or domains of clinical informatics - Managing Change, Patient Safety, Organizational Impact and Evaluation, and Integration - and focuses on the people and organizational process of applied informatics, as well as evaluation, across a wide range of topics. It will be of considerable help to any practitioner in the field of clinical informatics, increasing understanding of the issues at hand.

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - By any measure, our field of clinical informatics is poised for rapid growth and expansion. A confluence of forces and trends, including pressure to contain health care costs and simultaneously expand access and coverage, a desire to reduce me- cal error and health care disparities, the need to better understand and optimize our clinical interventions and delivery systems, the need to translate new knowledge into practice quickly and effectively, and the need to demonstrate the value of our services, all call for the application of the methods and techniques of our field - some of which are well honed with experience, and some of which are still in the process of being discovered. Clinical informatics is not the only solution to what ails health care, but it is a critical component of the solution. Our methods and techniques are similar in many ways to the knowledge base of any interdisciplinary field: some are informed by experience, the trials and tribulations of figuring out what works through real world implementation, some are informed by controlled experimentation in randomized controlled trials and related studies, some are informed by critical observation and analysis, and some are developed through laboratory evaluation rather than field trials. As we develop both the basic science, as well as the applied science, of our field, there is a cri- cal role for learning from others by way of case reports and stories.

Wraps. Zustand: Good. No publisher, place or date. Presumed England, circa 1965. Wraps, photo illustrated on the front cover. Tied with 2 strings along the left hand side. 13 by 8 ¼ inches. 38 pp. Several pages stapled together along the fore edge, closing two blank facing pages onto each other. A few black and white photos throughout. A 'report of a tour in the U.S.A. September 20th-October 17th 1965 to study citizens' participation in urban rehabilitation areas.' This consists of a first-hand study of projects of urban renewal in various cities in the United States, including New York, Baltimore and Philadelphia, accompanied by photos documenting finished projects, as well as areas yet to be done. With commentary and reports throughout, including documentation of citizen efforts to clean up slums and other urban areas in disrepair. This report was apparently done to present ideas to the British community on potential means of urban renewal in their own country. GOOD condition. Moderate browning to the covers, with some soiling, staining and dark scuffs. Rear cover rather worn. Curling, creasing and minor tearing along the extremities. Staples on the fore edge rusted. A few rust stains in the interior.
