De la cerámica y otros objetos hallados en Tel Nami se infiere que entre los años 1400 y 1200 a. C. los barcos de la época transportaron mercancías de lujo, como el incienso, y que su población, rica y cosmopolita, se dedicó al reciclaje del metal y al intercambio privado de productos muy apreciados por centros urbanos del interior de Palestina, como Megiddo.
