Postkartenformat (postalisch nicht verwendet). Sehr gut erhalten. Die Schauspielerin besuchte eine Theaterschule in Wien. Zu ihren Mitkommilitonen gehörten Max Reinhardt und ihr späterer Mann Fritz Richard. Sie arbeitete aber zunächst als Englischlehrerin und wandte sich erst 1908 der Bühne zu, nachdem sie mit ihrem Mann 1905 nach Berlin gezogen war. Sie spielte in Berlin und Wien an den Theater Max Reinhardts und bei den Salzburger Festspielen. Seit 1910 war sie, wie auch ihr Mann, schon früh in Filmen zu sehen. Am Anfang stand sie oft zusammen mit Henny Porten vor der Kamera und war bald, meist in Nebenrollen, eine der meistbeschäftigtsten Stummfilmakteurinnen, später aber auch noch in Tonfilmen erfolgreich. Bergen denütierte 1894 in Meiningen und kam 1904 nach Berlin, wo er an verschiedenen Bühnen spielte und auch Regie führte. 1913 begann er auch zu filmen und seit Mitte der zwanziger Jahre war er vor allem als Filmregisseur aktiv, mit Beginn der Tonfilmzeit war er nur noch in kleinen Rollen beim Theater zu sehen. 1943 wurde er zusammen mit seiner Frau nach Auschwitz deportiert. Der Photograph Fritz Richard (eig. Joseph Richard Löwit 1870-1933) und Ehemann von Frida Richard war ein österreichisch-jüdischer Schauspieler an den Berliner Reinhardt-Bühnen und Amateurphotograph, der dort auch photographierte!
