This issue features on the front cover an apology for revealing the names of 84 narcotics agents as part of a settlement of a lawsuit against the paper. The suit for $15,000,000 had been settled for $10,000 to be paid at the rate of $500.00 per month.

Zustand: Very Good. Printed in black and white on paper, not bound. A number of the Los Angeles Free Press #140, of March 24th, 1967, published and edited by Art Kunkin. The cover story reports on the raid of the Free Press Bookstore, during which the clerk was arrested for selling obscene literature, and three copies of 'The Love Book' were confiscated by the police. Also included the great banana-smoking hoax: printing a recipe for banadine (it was intended as a joke to raise questions about the ethics of maing psychoactive drugs illegal, but many actually took to smoking banana peel in an attempt to get high); news of the Elysian Park 'Love-In' + half-page ad.; "An L.A. Weekend with Andy Warhol" by Oliver Johnson, w. photo + review and qtr.-page ad. for 'Chelsea Girls' + photo of Warhol, Paul Morrissey and acolytes; LA Provo demo (1pp., photo); full-page psych. ad. in purple for the Kaleidoscope at Sunset and Vine.
