Hardcover. Zustand: Sehr gut. 1. Auflage. Z : Hardcover, 64 pages, 68 color illustrations - First monograph. Ann Craven is, fundamentally, a painter. She paints the moon, birds, flowers, deer, or color stripes. She paints antiquated subjects, for she knows the symbolic power of the images accompanying us, even the most insignificant onesthose empty of content that our grandmothers would keep for no veritable reason, or the gold stars that a schoolgirl or boy pins up in their room with such pride. Her birds and flowers series endlessly interpret the essential painterly relationship between background and form, and the vibration of dazzling colors as so many signs of the times. Therefore everything is "painting," and all painting is equal in her eyes, whether copy or original, background color, abstract band, or bird on a branch.…

Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. Scarce limited edition box set consisting of 32 booklets designed by individual artists housed in slipcase. Edition of 250 copies, quite uncommon and lovely set. 32 booklets counted here, although for whatever reason there is a duplicate of one book - unclear whether that is just an issue with this particular copy, or all of them - the duplicate is that of Janine Gordon, unclear which artist is missing from the set. All 32 booklets in excellent condition, hardly any wear at all, perhpas just the teeniest rubbing and scuffing to glossy covers, but all appear scarcely handled. Box has some light scuffing in parts but is generally clean and attractive and very well intact. Though as mentioned it is unclear which artist book is missing from the set, the artists included are John Armleder, Amy Granat, Mai-Thu Perret, Rich Aldrich, John M Armleder, Fia Backström, Sophie Bernhard, Peter Coffin, Philippe Decrauzat, Vidya Gastaldon & Fabrice Stroun, Gabrielle Giattino & Sara Turner, Janine Gordon, Kim Gordon, Amy Granat, Drew Heitzler & Flora Wiegman, Jutta Koether, Alix Lambert, Balthazar Lovay, Brendan Majewski, Christian Marclay, Mass, John Miller, Thurston Moore, Olivier Mosset, Chuck Nanney, Genesis P-Orridge, Mai-Thu Perret, Carissa Rodriguez, Aura Rosenberg, Michael Scott, John Terhorst, Blair Thurman, John Tremblay, Elizabeth Valdez, Joan Wallace.…

Softcover. Zustand: Sehr gut. Limitierte Ausgabe. Z : boxset, 32 softcover books, 480 pages with 480 illustrations - A series of 32 artist books in a boxset, in the comic book format, conceived in tribute to the late Steven Parrino. 250 copies limited edition. Each volume is linked in some way to Steven Parrino, by projects and exchanges, by friendship, by reciprocal inspiration. Black Noise celebrates a format that Steven Parrino was fond of, a culture that was familiar to him. The only constraint upon the authors invited in spring 2005 was the format and the title of the overall publication. Some directly evoke Steven Parrino's personality, whereas others produce a less referential contribution. With Rich Aldrich, John Armleder, Fia Backström, Sophie Bernhard, Peter Coffin, Philippe Decrauzat, Vidya Gastaldon & Fabrice Stroun, Gabrielle Giattino & Sarah Turner, Janine Gordon, Kim Gordon, Amy Granat, Drew Heitzler & Flora Wiegman, Jutta Koether, Alix Lambert, Balthazar Lovay, Brendan Majewski, Christian Marclay, Mass, John Miller, Thurston Moore, Olivier Mosset, Chuck Nanney, Genesis P-Orridge, Mai-Thu Perret, Carissa Rodriguez, Aura Rosenberg, Michael Scott, John Terhorst, Blair Thurman, John Tremblay, Elizabeth Valdez, Joan Wallace.…
