Primera edición de esta importante obra relativa al establecimiento de las misiones en Perú y Bolivia. El padre José Amich llagó al Perú como piloto de la Real Armada Española, pero pronto ingresó al noviciado en el convento de San Francisco de Lima en 1750. En 1765 se incorporó en el convento de Ocopa, del cual habría de ser el primer historiador. Este mismo año entra a las misiones de la selva por el río Pozuzo. Al año siguiente pasa a las conversiones de Cajamarquilla en calidad de visitador general de ellas, en las cuales se hallaba cuando se sublevaron los setebos, shipibos y cunibos y dieron muerte a diecisiete religiosos franciscanos. A fines del año 1767 volvió a Ocopa y por agosto de 1769 estaba de nuevo en el convento de Huaylillas, también en calidad de visitador y de sus inversiones. Vuelto a Ocopa, después de trece meses, se retiró a la provincia de los Doce Apóstoles, viviendo en Lima. 174x110mm. (6¾x4¼"). …
