The first edition, published posthumously in 1907, edited by his wife Helen Allingham, well-known watercolourist and illustrator, and D. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, spine and boards only lightly bumped to extremities, light soiling to boards and spine. Previous owner's ink gift inscription to half title, dated 1909.
