Stapled Wraps. Zustand: Good Plus. Schirmer Vol.1569. This is the outstanding but quite rare Alfredo Casella edition, not the later Curci edition, its violin part edited by Alberto Poltronieri. MOVEMENTS: Allegro amabile; Polonese - Un poco andante; Rondo - Molto vivace (Presto). Includes Casella's informative Preface. 7+7+23 pages. CONDITION: An overall Good Plus unmarked set. The Piano full score has had its spine edge and binding repaired/reinforced with near-invisible library archival tape. All components have edge- and corner-wear, including small chips and short tears. This nevertheless quite respectable copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.

The pages are noticeably age-tanned in the margins and are brittle along the edges (some small corner pieces absent). This fragile item must be handled carefully to avoid further deterioration. To that end, I have fashioned a new replacement dustjacket, affixing the original incomplete jacket panels and enclosing it all in a clear mylar protective cover. [NOTE: See accompanying scan images.] This is certainly a "tattered treasure" - but a treasure nonetheless.
